- Hotel Review (Kathmandu Grand Hotel): The location was great and they had a decent breakfast each morning. The room was average, and the only downside is that there was no elevator (we were located on the top floor, which made getting to our room quite the workout).
- Favorite restaurant: Kathmandu Steak House
- Favorite tourist attraction: Flight to view Mt. Everest (booked through Buddha Air)
- Favorite non-tourist attraction: Opportunity to sit and eat a normal dinner with a local family
- Favorite dessert: We don’t remember exactly what they were called, but the family we did the cooking class/dinner with made something resembling candy balls made out of semolina, dates, and raisins – they were amazing (Mike ended up eating about 4 servings of them)
- Most memorable moment: Going into the plane cockpit and being ‘eye to eye’ with Mt. Everest
- If we could do it over… we’d be more cautious about what vegetables we ate
- If going, you must… eat momos and try to lose yourself in the city and culture, it is truly a unique place with unique people
